Come with us as we track down Tokyo!! I’ve been wanting to do this for the longest time and with some good professional photos from J I could finally put together the snapshots of our Tokyo trip. As much as we have a “standard” itinerary, there’s nothing standard about each experience simply becos the people [...] Japan we come On my autumn trip to Tokyo, it is such a great pleasure to have an international cast of precious friends with us from Egypt and Singapore. In fact Toshi was also with us for 1 night, joining us from California. I must say this must be one of my best trips ever. And the best part for [...] It’s hard not wanting to put something as nice as these into your mouth. This was part of the Kaiseki lunch we had on our last day. We are at the beginning of the bonito tuna season so the warm red katsuo was a real pleaser. Firm yet succulent that simply pleases all senses. Dip it [...] Ok this is serious. When you go to a highly recommended ramen restaurant and they serve ramen complete with printed eating instructions that comes with your order….you know the boss is serious about eating savoring his ramen the right way. This is not your typical ramen shop…I would call it a chic contemporary ramen bar..(bar [...] From our 1st night of earth moving sleep to our last lunch together. We really had a lot of fun on this trip, chatted till wee hours at the hotel lobby, K was laughing so hard she was literally tearing every night (ha!), Oh we even got dispersed by the hotel manager after we carried [...] We had an event I think that took the group by much surprise today. On our first night in Tokyo, we had an earthquake!!! We chatted and wine well into the night at our hotel lobby and after we hit the sack, abt 3am I was awoken by a tremble.
