Stalls of K.L local food!

Stalls of K.L local food!

This is a good place to check out good local food in K.L during the day.  Once you’re inside, you’ll find a range of vegetables, seafood on sale and local favorite cooked food available.  The stalls pictured on the right is famous because it has been on several TV programs in the region.  Most recently on the Taiwanese food/travel program, Mei Shi Wan Jia.  There’s are lots to try here – CCF, laksa, Kway teow soup, YTF…etc well one too many for a morning for sure.

Yum! Yum!

Yum! Yum!

But judging by the aroma and line, I guess it is pretty famous and good, at least within this area.
Of course no visit to Petaling street is complete without refreshing yourself with a bowl of the famous longan drink and a photo for memory.  There will always be a group of tourist at the store.  There was a group of Japanese when I was there, enjoying their beverage to the chorus of “oishii”.  I find the drink a lil too sweet but the combination of an icy cold beverage, whole dried logan (with seed!) and lil chunks of wintermelon was kinda refreshing on a typical humid day in K.L.  Interesting way to spend a day walking around this street.
Care for some cool refreshment?

When you visit K.L, it is all about the street food culture, something we don’t really get here in Singapore anymore.  So enjoy your day there and happy eating!  Hmmm…I’m feeling kinda hungry now…..how weird! Lol
