It has been more than one month since we traveled KUIDAORE Sydney tour and reading Sinma’s blog on TETSUYA’s these days, my passion for the days in Sydney had been increased. Then here is J’s cafe in Singapore! Together with Nao, T and J, we threw a sushi party at our dear T’s apartment. This was our first time visiting his home and we are all very glad to be invited. We went shopping for ingredients at Meidiya, sashimi platter, ikura, natto, shiso, natto, we got quite a bit of stuff and were [...] 5 hours, 13 dishes, 10 glasses of wine and 1 sake later, can someone help this gentleman back to his hotel room please? Thank God, T did manage to find his way and walk back safe and sound just a bit tipsy but it’s all good. Go ahead take a rest because we have another day [...] This is a dinner that I simply wish will never end. But by the time we bothered to check the time on our watches, it is already close to 12am. We came in at 7pm and 5 hours passed just like that. No sweat. How I wish every meal of our lives are like this? [...] Can I be any happier? I possibly could but at the moment, I’m thoroughly enjoying every single spoonful second of my mortal life. Goodness me, I thought I’ve already reached the climax of my dinner but by the time my 2nd course of dessert was served, I realized I could actually work in this kitchen [...] Our first course of dessert. Intense, passionate in red! Thanks to the well thought out arrangement of Tetsuya and his chefs, the comte pairs perfect with the beetroot & blood orange sorbet (left above) that help to add a refreshing zest after 10 courses of everything you can imagine. Trust me, when you know what this dish is made of, you’ll fully appreciate it. |
